MUMPO Approves Augustalee Transportation Plans

The Mecklenburg-Union Metropolitan Planning Organization (MUMPO) voted Wednesday night (April 29) to add the six transportation improvements for the Augustalee development into their thoroughfare plan as well as their Metrolina Transportation Improvement Plan (MTIP).

Regional Brokers And Friends Enjoy Preview Party On Site

Spectacular spring weather greeted almost 100 members of the local commercial real estate community, the Augustalee development team and other associates at the project site on April 23. Our leasing agents CB Richard Ellis put on a grand party, with Southern barbecue, a bluegrass band, and horse and carriage rides around the property.

Augustalee Plans Approved By TCC For Review By MUMPO

The Transportation Coordinating Committee (TCC), the technical review arm of MUMPO, has recommended the Augustalee-related transportation improvement plans for review by the MUMPO board on Wednesday evening, March 17. MUMPO is the Mecklenburg-Union Metropolitan Planning Organization, which coordinates all transportation system changes in the two counties.

Important Schematic Design Of Phase 1 Completed

The important schematic design for Phase 1 of Augustaleehas been completed, representing thousands of hours of work by the Architecture and Engineering Teams and others. Schematic design includes architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical and structural components of the project, as well as roadway and offsites.

Roadway Plans Moving Forward On Multiple Fronts

The complex, multi-pronged process of obtaining approval for the extensive roadway improvements — including the widening of I-77, a new Westmoreland Road interchange and widening of Highway 21 approved for Augustalee— is moving forward, although a few obstacles have been encountered.

Cornelius Bromont Opening Charlotte Office

Cornelius Bromont, LLC, developers of Augustalee, have signed a lease for their new regional office at 1900 South Blvd., Suite 250, in Charlotte’s SouthEnd, and plan to move in as soon as the space is finished with some minor modification and fresh paint. The Tompkins Toolworx building is a Charlotte Mecklenburg Historic Site.

Cornelius Bromont, LLC, Completes Purchase
For Immediate Release May 19, 2008
CORNELIUS, NC - Cornelius Bromont, LLC has completed the purchase of 104 acres in Cornelius and Mecklenburg County, to be the future site of the Village of Lake Norman.  The project is part of an overall mixed use development that involves construction of office, residential, retail and hotel facilities.
